■The Tsurugi storage (left picture)
Our main entrance was first built back in the Edo era, and was once an entrace used for a merchant. It has been over 240 years since it was first built, and today, we use this space for having our Kura shop, Manzairaku Headquarters.
The crossbeam at the entrance is created by pine wood, and still you can witness the rosin leaking out, showing that these wooden architecture are long-living. Please stop by and visit our shop.
The owner of Kobori Sake Brewery, the ancestors of the Kobori household, first started their path of a merchant back in the Edo era. By the end of the Edo era, sake brewing became the core of business, and has been since the main tasks up to today.
At the back of the Tsurugi storage, there are facilities for storing sake; manufacturing, storage and quality maintenance for Ume-shu (plum wine); and also for bottling the sakes.
